4/1/2024 0 Comments Stereo upgrade for f150Once everything is installed I'll do a tutorial thread on how I did everything, as right now information on the 2021's audio system is pretty much non-existent. I've used this same setup on multiple F150s as well as a brand new Mustang and it always works great. Ive been thinking about replacing the door speakers but am not sure how much improvement Id see. Ive got the base radio and Im no audiophile, but it is kinda weak. This is the exact setup that I'm using for my 2021. Re: 2016 F150 radio upgrade/improvement by SixShooter14 » Fri 3:11 am. If the head unit is on and providing power to the line output converter and the speakers are sending a signal to it then it will keep the amp on and therefore the subs working just fine whether or not the engine is running. Upgrade your Ford F-150s radio with a 10-inch, flush-mount touchscreen infotainment system from Stinger Electronics. I use a Scosche line output converter that also provides a remote turn-on signal to the amp based purely on whether or not it's receiving a signal from the speakers. The reason is because of the way that I prefer to install my subs. I had 2 10" subs in my last 2017 and the start/stop never was a problem at all. I have the stock 302a package and would be interested in the "best" replacement speakers to get some better quality audio. If the subs are installed correctly the start/stop isn't an issue. Making it a "requirement" to turn it off every time you get in the truck. That thing hits good enough for me nowadays. I’d love to be able to throw in my little jl audio 8 micro sub. From what I’ve read on the ICE f150 forum, it’s a pain. The bass rolls off heavily at anything above the lowest of volumes. Ive also heard that aftermarket subs will turn off when the engine start/stop kicks in. I too am disappointed in the 8 speaker B and O system.
